ABOUT US
"Gens"
“Gens” is a Latin word that, in Ancient Rome, indicated a group of families with a common founder, often legendary, and having their own cults, customs and traditions, and the very same family name.
Our school, Gens Italica, promotes the knowledge of the language, culture and thousand-year-old traditions, inherited from the numerous populations that succeeded one another in the peninsula over centuries.
From the Ancient Roman period, the different “gentes” that succeeded in time – such as Gens Julia, which Julius Caesar belonged to, or Gens Flavia, which built the Coliseum (also known as the Flavian Anphitheatre), have contributed to the creation of the world that inspired the myth of ancient times. This myth emphasizes the importance that Italy had in the recognition and revival of the figurative arts, science, the rebirth of humanistic studies and language, from the beginning of the Renaissance, where these ideas where transformed into a cultural and artistic force at a European level.
Of equal importance in shaping Italy’s current profile, were the cultural contributions of other civilizations that settled in Italy over the centuries.
The aim of our school is to welcome you and introduce you to the culture and civilization of “gens italica”.
Global communication without barriers is essential to modern professional fields. Gens Italica then wishes to become your consultant for your linguistic growth, focusing on the students’ needs and organizing business and cultural programs.
Our teaching method and classes are structured to ensure excellent results and satisfy every need, in terms of time as well.
